Question brake pressure switch fried

Dad comes over to my house and says that his truck was smoking from under the hood. I go to check it out and it won't shift out of park. Brake fluid is sprayed on everything around the master cylinder. The brake pressure switch is totally burnt up, and seeping brake fluid.

I've installed the new switch and changed the burnt fuse ( #13, 15 amp ). But, the connector at the cruise control servo was slightly dark. This is the other end of one of the wires from the pressure switch. The test from the Haynes manual calls for <4Kohms and 12V at the cruise control connector. I have 3Mohms and 3V. Obviously something is wrong in the column.

Has anyone else experienced this? I don't want to buy another $22.22 switch, so before i hook everythin back up i would like to chase down any shorts. Plus i don't want to pull the wheel unless i have to.

More than likely, the pressure switch connector is also damaged. The brake fluid will seep into the connector and create an internal short. These connectors are available from Ford.
