Question For those with LED washers

I just picked up a set of LED washers for my truck but the instructions are in Japanese??? Where is everyone tapping into the wiring to make them work?

If I were you I would wire a switch along the way...where I am from they are illegal. I know a lot of people who have gotten tickets for them. Especially if they are BLUE!!!

Good Luck!!!

Blue, Red, and Green are prohibited by US DOT Regulations. The washer nozzle lights are illegal in almost every state.

I'd say not to bother installing them. Waste of money.

im suprised you even posted that here without the fear of rice comments. but for your question i believe your best bet would be to run a wire to your batt. and have a switch inside the cab somewhere

leds

I seen some of them on hondas and such. they looked quite bright and thought it was kinda cool so I bought a set of blue ones by eurolite. I also thought the nozzles that squirt instead of spray might get the washer fluid on my windshield at high speeds. Anyway I hooked the black ground wire into an existing ground on the firewall, and the red power wire I ran through a grommet above the gas pedal and into the cab. I put an inline fuse in there and hooked it to the small brown wire on the plug for trailer brakes. This connector is not plugged into anything unless you run a trailer brake contoller, and is located under the right hand side of the drivers lower dash panel. I didn't hook a switch but it didn't matter because the pieces of crap only worked for a couple of hours anyway. They were bright first and then got dimmer and dimmer. When I got home from the shop a couple of hours later you could barely see them. The next day they didn't work at all. The washers didn't squirt any good either. Oh well, I hope yours work out good for you.

Talking Thanks for the replies.

I was thinking that I just want to run them into the cab so I can put a switch on them instead of having them on all the time. And if I don't like them or they crap out, I can just throw them away for the price I got them for.

Thanks again,
Bob

LMAO! That's the funniest thing I've heard in weeks. I thought those things were made in China?

Ahh! Could be. All I know is there's a lot of little squiggles that I can't recognize.
