Talking Power window hangs up

I have a 97 F150 and i have started to have a problem with my drivers side window. It stops going down at about a 1/3 of the way down. Push on it some and it will go down. Then after about the half-way down mark it works fine.

It goes up fine.

Any ideas

Unhappy Window hangs

I have a 98 extended cab and my passenger window does exactly what you describe. I've been guessing that the problem is a worn window seal at the base. You know how it has the fuzz on em when they are new. I think the fuzz wears off and sticks to the glass a bit at some point. I'm not sure about this, just a guess, but if thats it. It should be an easy fix.

Hi,
You might want to search for *side window stick* to get more info.
The problem is your window rails are getting dirty.
I would try opening the window and applying some WD40 on its sides then open/close a couple of times.
Alex.

My 98 did the same thing on the passenger door. The dealer fixed it, while under warrantee. I remember that there was a TSB for this, but don't know what the number is

Check with the local dealer and get a copy of the TSB, that should give you what you need to fix it or decide if you want them to do it

Hope this helps
