To HAZARD269, I just wired up aftermarket Fog Lights in an HD valance in a 2001 Screw, The relay, fuse and wiring was there from the factory. I was able to wire the stock (auto lamps only ) switch. I jumped the Red & Yellow stripe wire to the yellow wire on the switch. I added a toggle switch into the splice and mounted it under the dash. The lights work in manual on or auto lamp mode. The jump switch is there to shut them of. Hope it helps you.

OK everybody,

This has been driving me crazy for a while now and I finally spent the time to do some research and
I HAVE FORD'S OEM FOGLIGHT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AS WELL AS HOW TO GET YOUR OWN SET OF INSTRUCTIONS!!

This is by far the most helpful info I have seen to date. I have a 2002 4x2 Lariat supercab w/o factory fogs. I was not lucky enough to have mine prewired as I have heard from several other members. Mine had no foglight harness, no contacts in the powerbox for a relay and no switch that included a position for fogs.

The Ford instructions will show you how to wire up a truck like mine, or one with more existing pieces for OEM fogs, H-D fogs(what I'm using), Lightning fogs or really whatever you want to plug into the to the Factory light switch using a Ford wiring harness.

Best of all, when you're done, IT LOOKS FACTORY!

The instructions also include the wiring diagrams to make it easy to modify it to fit your situation.

OK, here's how to get the instructions:

The kit is made for Ford by a company named SCS/Frigette. They are the parent company of Precision Wiring Products who makes the

OEM foglight wiring harness PN:XL3Z 15A211 BA For Trucks W/O factory Foglights.

If you call their tech support department they will fax you the instructions. At least that's what they did for me. It took a couple of tries to get them to FAX the whole 15 pages of this manual, but I finally got it. Also, they have the part #'s for all the various wiring harnesses and switches that you can order from the dealer w/o buying the whole kit.

Their phone # is (800) 451-9245 and the manual # is XL3Z-15200-AAA.

I'd post the manual, but it has Ford's Copyright at the bottom and I have no desire to deal with their lawyers.

If you can't get what you need from them, email me or stay tuned, because I'm photo-documenting my install for a "How-to" article.

Hopefully this is what everybody needs to get that "factory" look.

Sounds good.

I just went ahead and got a wiring harness made by pilot, and wired it to the parking lights and 'looped' out the switch so that way as soon as I turn on the parking lights the fogs come on also. Overall I would say it was very simple to do. Part of the reason I cut out the switch is beacuse I didnt really wanna run all the wires into the cab plus Id never really use it.
