Hey guys need some help, just bought a 07 navigator, it does not recognize when drivers door is open, therefore does not turn off the stereo, no interior lights etc.etc. it recognizes all other doors, I checked the splice under the door sill by the rear pillar and redid the connection but no luck. Could the door ajar sensor simply be jammed? I know on my old expedition the switches were stuck to door ajar, I took out all sensors and soaked the ball in diesel and now all is well, so is it possible this particular one is stuck in the closed position and the ball is not moving to signal door ajar? Is it possible to diagnose it on a computer or not? thanks guys any help is greatly appreciated

 

With the door open try spraying some contact cleaner or WD40 into the lock assembly.

 

Thanks bud, I tryed that 3 weeks ago, have been soaking it every couple days, no luck, might have to pull the panel and pull the assembly out and see whats up
