Question 97 f-150 no start

I am having a nightmare of a problem. I went to start my 1997 F-150 this morning, and nothing. Just a clicking sound. I checked my battery, it was low, so I charged it. That didn't fix it. Replaced the solenoid, still nothing. Checked all of the fuses, They all look ok. I have checked everything but the starter. Could that be the problem? It acts as if the engine is locked up. This is the first problem I've ever had with this truck. Can anyone help me?

Just because you charged your battery doesn't mean that it is holding enough juice to start your truck. Take the battery to get tested at any auto parts place. They should be able to tell you if the battery is any good. If it's the original battery it's definitely time for a new one. Batteries can go all at once, and one they do there is nothing you can do to save them. Thats my two cents, hope it helps.

Did you or could you jump start the truck. If you can start it from a jump it is not the starter.

Smile Found the Problem

I found the problem. It was 2 problems to be exact. The "Master Fuse" block on the firewall shorted out, and in turn fried my starter. Thanks for the help guys.
Those 2 things cost me $350.00, plus a new battery. (I replaced it because it was the factory one and I thought it could be part of the problem, too).
