The other day both wipers were doing their thing when the drivers side wiper stopped and dropped to the bottom of the windshield as if I turned it off. The passenger side kept going. Mind you I didn't turn them off for this to happen. Now, I can manually move the driver side wiper when the car is on or off. The passenger side wiper is in it's normal position. What happened?

 

Pop the little black cover off at the base of the wiper arm. Under there you will find a nut that you can tighten with a wrench.

 

That happened to me a few months ago. What medic said will do the fix.
