ignition dinger

does anyone know how 2 disable the ignition dinger. i did a search and c where it was discussed in june 2000. said might need to have dealer reprogam. is that the only answer.

Take the GEM module apart and unsolder the speaker off the cir board.

will this disable my dinger for the headlights also. i would like 2 keep that dinger

its piggy back to the fusebox under the dash. Have to take the fusebox/gem out as a unit. Cant have just one dinger, either both or none, same speaker.
