Question electronic air intakes

Hey guys,

I have heard alot of stories about electronic air intakes.
Are they really as good as people make them seem.
Does it increase the truck's power that much ???

All feedback is appreciated.....good and bad !!!

How costly is this mod and how hard is it to do ???

Thanks
Bri

Who says they help? i take it you are talking about the electric turbo/superchargers on ebay and in the back of truckin for like 100 dollars..
I venture to say anyone who says they do, has never been to a dragstrip, dyno, or has a ulterior motive in selling one to you.
If you want to find out for cheap, just go to the local boating store and get a bilge blower. That is all those people are selling..err.. ripping people off for.
Think about it. Yeah, they move high CFM, but what pressures are acheivable with them? From an engineering standpoint, that type of blade used is a low pressure blade, and is incapable of producing any kind of boost that will show up on a boost gauge.

They claim 1 PSI. How....I'll never understand
Only runs under WOT, so the remainder the of time, it must act like a nice little restrictor ? Next is the bannana in the tail pipe mod, only at WOT will it work ( that is if you start it and floor it to get it out of there )
