Unhappy Electrical /when It Rains

Unique problem.
After a hard rain, I will have water come out from under dash board. I noticed water in a groove where bottom of windshield meets dashboard. (the spot wher you can't get your fingers in). I used a cotton swab to confirm this.I resealed around windshield, had some light rains and didn't have any problems. But with the last gully washer, the water was back.
The electrical problem I have right now is no interior lights, no power windows, no windsheild wipers.
I unhooked the battery, and when I hook it back up, I have interior lights for a few seconds and then they shut off.
Do I need to leave the battery unhooked for a long period to reset the computer?

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Are you under Warrenty?

there is a TSB on this I beleive--if not Ford know about it... The windshield is not sealed totaly, water get in, runs down, and drips on the fuse box.

Go see your dealer.

water is leaking im from bottom of winshield and dripping on GEM module which is located on the back of fuse panel, you can check for this the next time you have problems by reaching under dash and feeling for water on GEM board, the GEM board controls windows,locks,4X4 shift indicators, and wipers

No wipers/lights/windows

Hi Waterlogged,

Just wondering what the fix turned out to be on your water problem. I just had my windshield replaced and after some light snow had the same thing happen to me. I took it to a shop that I use and I'm already practicing the 'bend over grab ankles' routine....

Thanks!

Windshield is leaking ,but a gem module will not fix your problem the fuse box fills with water . The fuse box is the only part needed.Along with a windshield reseal, there is an ssm not tsb it is for Expidition doesnot apply to f150 but is same problem. very common.
