Lightbulb taillight acting retarded

ok, a few months ago i was taking body pieces off of my truck to do some primering(flareside). the passenger side flareside panel fell off and took off one of the headlight connectors in the process. one of the wires also came outta of it pin connector. well after just driving without a right turn signal and brake light i finally soldered the wire to the connector. i put black to grd. brown to the middle slot(i think its minor) and orange to the outside (i think major). Now the messed up part. My right signal still flashes really fast. when the front is on the back is off and vice versa. also, when i hit my brakes, the passenger side bulb just turns itself off and when i release the brake it turns back on. why is it doing this? any ideas??

This sounds slightly familiar. I live in Upstate NY where salt is used on the roads more than pavement is. Anyway...what I'm trying to get at is this used to be a very common problem with the 1156 & 1157 bulbs. It was usually caused by a bad (corroded) socket or ground wire.

Recheck all of connections...use a volt meter to make sure there is a full 12 volts going to the bulb for all functions or use an ohm meter to make sure there is no resistance between the socket and the wires.

This SHOULD do the job.
