Last time I used this I ran into an issue.
After i placed the order
I was emailed saying they upped the price on that item.
I really found this whole thing ridicolous and if I had'nt
already had a date set up with the autobody shop I would have cnaceled my order all together.
Are you still using this practice?

Occasionally price changes happen. Ford does major price changes in January and June as well as smaller changes at the beginning of every month. The module built into our website for the online catalog is a subscription to a third party company (which is why a lot of the websites have the same info) and they do not always have the latest prices updated into the system. Every once in awhile the catalog pricing will be wrong, but we do our best to fix it when we notice it.

I'm having the same issue with the discount only being 5%. Do we need to call to get the full 10%?

I was hoping the discount would be fixed by now. I would still like to place an order while the discount is available. Let me know if I need to place an order over the phone, though I would prefer to do it online.

I sent two emails to tasca asking for pricing on the plastic bed rail covers. I never heard back from them either time so I figured they must not need my money.

Thanks for the code! Finally getting around to ordering that replacement cowl I've been putting off.

Placed my order for a total of $127.82 and got:

Discount Applied: -$12.78

I'm not a math major but that looks like %10 to me

Its back to 5% .... here is why.

We work on a 10% mark up from cost. Due to that, mathmatically we cannot offer a 10% off coupon. Here is an example

If a Part costs $100.00 we would noramally sell it for $110.00. If we where to offer a 10% coupon that would make the discount $11.00 (10% of $110.00) and it would end up selling for $99.00 (which would be below our cost). Granted its not a lot under cost but it adds up quickly over all the orders.

I work at a yamaha - skidoo dealership... and the price mark up on ome parts are a 100% mark up.. if the dealer pays 50.00 for it, retail is 100.00 ( by yamaha- skidoo price list ) ... and i have worked in alot of dealerships that have always been the same way on OME parts.. so with that being said, your 10% mark up must be 10% over retail.. other wise you could never make any money.. who would sell anything for cost ? or be able to pay anyone who works there ? not bad mouthing you but that is just the way it is.. i get 10% over cost becuse i work there.. but they couldn't keep the doors open if they did that with everyone..

It is a true 10% over cost, not retail. We have an extremely large dealership (top 25 in the country). We are currently doing about $1.1 million a month in wholesale parts sales out of this location. We are able to offer the price we do mainly because the department doesn't have any overhead, except for a handful of employees to process orders and take calls. The building and the inventory are already here and paid for with the wholesale operation. This allows us to pass the savings on to you.

If we were only doing online sales, then you are correct, we would never last. Luckily we have other ways of paying the bills.
