Need help from Ford / Dealer
Need help from Ford / Dealer
OK, I now have 33k on my 2001, and it is either time to buy the extended warranty or trade her in for a new truck. I am taking my truck to the dealer for some repairs it needs before the warranty ends. I am taking it in for the following:
1. my 6th set of fog-lights
2. new set of 4 wheels (all 4 of my wheels are bent, no curb rash, but the truck vibrates, and all 4 were definitely VISUALLY out of round when I put new tires on it 2 weeks ago)
3. outside of the drivers seat is a little flatter than it use to be (not bad, but getting fixed before warranty goes bye-bye)
4. Sliding rear window needs to be resealed (or replaced, not sure, since it is loose and rattles/vibrates)
5. Paint defects are getting pointed out, and hopefully the bid will be high to fix them so I can use that for bargaining points

I really don't want my truck to have paint work done on it, so my question is this: Since I am a perfectionist, and my truck is perfect except for these above mentioned problems, and I am not happy with the paint, but I don't want to take a chance in making it worse by having it painted on, should I try to get Ford to trade me an extended warranty instead... or a really good trade on a new truck? As I stated earlier, I am really not sure how Ford will be willing to deal with it, but regardless, it will cost them, so would they credit the paintwork for a warranty? Or would I be better off trying to throw a *****-fit and get a good trade on a 2002 truck?
Any dealers or NLOC members working for dealers that can help me out, please email me or send me a private message. Thanks
