Lemme see if I have this right...(Micro-Tuner questions; attn: Mike T.)
Ok, I've been looking for a chip and this Micro-Tuner has got me interested.
By piecing together info from other threads, it seems that:
1. Nothing is actually installed in the PCM; Micro-Tuner dumps correct code into PCM and you can adjust a few parameters like shift frimness, etc.
2. Although you can't operate the Micro-tuner in more than one truick at the same time, you can dump the stock program from the Micro-Tuner back into Truck #1, then move the Micro-Tuner to Truck #2 and use it there. Is this correct?
What I want to do is this: I have a 2002 Lightning that I want to use the Micro-Tuner in during the warm months. Then, when I have the L stored in the winter, I want to dump the stock L program, and install the Micro-Tuner in my '97 F150 4.6l.
Is this the way this thing works or am I wrong?

Hi jaymz,
Yes, you can indeed do *exactly* what you're talking about, use the Micro Tuner on your L during good weather, and then return that vehicle to stock and go load it up in your 1997 "regular" F-150 during the winter, sure!
One quick point, with your Lightning you will not be able to use the Micro Tuner if you have raised the boost via pulleys, like a #4 pulley, or a #6 pulley, etc. The Micro Tuner can be used on Lightnings (and supercharged Harleys) that have mild mods, things like intake kits & exhaust mods are fine. Just FYI...........
