mike all the guys on f150 say your the one i need to get with on a chip ,my bro in law has a 91 ranger with a 93 2.3 motor it runs good but hes wanting a little more from it ,it has the coilpack (no dist) so adjustments are limited he doesent doant hard raceing or stuf like that , but he pulls a trailer sometimes, he used to have a mazda b2000 and wants the kind of power it had fromits 4cyl . what can we do? like i said its a 2.3 with a 5 speed trans 85k 14in tires. thanks for any help mike (black8)

Sure, we can usually provide the Superchip for those 2.3 & the later 2.5 4 cylinder Rangers.
There are a number of things that can bedone to that 4 cylinder to wake it up, the Superchip would be th best place to start from a bang-for-the-buck standpoint, as he'll see a 10% power gain from optimizing the powertrain programming with the Superchip. There are plenty of other things to be done for even more pwoer after that as well, if need be.
If either you or your brother-in-law would like to give us a call here at Performance, we'll be happy to go over all the details, etc. of this application with you/him/both.
