Advice appreciated

Here's the short version....
I have a 95 f150 4x4 5.0 Extended

Last weekend I was on my way out and my check engine light came on... when I was on my way back around the block to the house the engine shuddered like the injectors shut down.
I pulled 4 codes or so and went through investigating a couple of them.
What I got was
112 ACT/IAT sensor ckt below min
121 TP sensor voltage out of range
128 map sensor leak
212 loss of IDm input to ECA??

So I found the air temp sensor is getting 12v the manual says it should be 5... if not then see ford. I didn't pull the TB to check the other sensor out of range since I was fairly certain there's a problem with the regulator circuit in my computer.

So here's my questions.
Is my computer really fragged?
If there is can I upgrade to an EEC-V?
Is there any reason to do so?
else
Should I go for mass air conversion?

Thanks
CG

Hi Sonaht,

Welcome to F-150 Online!

Yes, your PCM could very well be "fragged," methaphorically speaking, and from the symptoms, that would be among my first hunches. Given your symptoms, you may very well be right in regards to an internal regulation problem in your PCM, requiring replacement. You could always take a look for a failed cold solder joint I suppose, but usually the PCM just needs to be replaced.

Upgrading to EEC-V wouldn't make sense in your case, as the EEC-V is an OBD-II PCM & your vehicle is OBD-I. Since yours is a 1995 model, it should already be a mass-air system, but if you had a speed-density system, then you'd just go to the appropriate EEC-IV PCM which would be supplied via the conversion kit to mass-air.

Good luck!
