Question Calling Mike T. or others knowledgable

Mike/Anyone,

I am thinking of purchasing a nice shift kit and sonnax valves to firm up my trucks shifting. My question to you is the following: If I order a superchip can it be programmed to just take out the shift delays/retards and NOT increase the line pressure? Thanks for yuor time and help.

Yes, it can be programmed just as you described. I believe however that it will cost you a little extra to have a "custom" burn. I have a SuperChip and Transgo and though I can live with it shifting hard. I am having the chip reburned to accomidate other mods and am planning to soften up the shifts slightly.

Did you install the shift kit on level 1?

Hi Brian,

Sure, we can take care of that for you.

There are a number of modifications people are doing to their transmissions that results in shifts that are too hard, jerking passenger's necks even at very light throttle, etc., such as installing a shift kit at a level that is too high, or aftermarket valve bodies, etc.

We can also supply you with the shift kit, Sonnax parts, etc., in fact we're having Sonnax build a part designed to our specs for the 4R100 tranny right now, so we work with them, too.

You might want to give us a call about this & go over exactly what kind of shift characteristics you want, as we can advise you on how best to achieve what you're looking for in most cases.
