Talking Thanks to Mike T. !!!!

I ordered a "Stage 1" upgrade kit for my wife's Ranger 4X4, which consisted of a Superchip, a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, and an ASE Intake Kit. We recieved the chip and exhaust already and they are both installed. My wife's response: "It's like a whole new truck!!". The Magnaflow sounds great on the 4.0L engine, and the difference in power is amazing!! Also the shifting is greatly improved, as it was quite mushy in it's stock form. She is VERY pleased, and when she is happy we are all happy! LOL! The intake was on backorder,so I am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. If it works as well as the other mods, I will soon need new tires on the rear, as it will burn them down now. Thanks, Mike, for once again selling me just the right thing to accomplish what we wanted!!

Hi Synper,

Thanks for yoru post, & I'll have our people check into that back order status on your intake right away, it's not often we'll have backorders, but it does happen from time to time.

The biggest pleasure to us is when someone feels confident enough in our advice to take it, as nothing is most rewarding than seeing just how happy people are with their actual results. That is exactly why we take the time to identify just which intake, which exaust, which tuning, which supercharger, which anything is really going to do the best job of maximizing raw power gains & actual performance increase in the vehicle platforms we specialize in. In exhausts alone, there's all the difference in the world in results, with most causing large torque losses down low, so it's important to know who's doing the best job out there among the various manufacturers, especially with these heavy trucks & SUVs.

I'm glad your wife is happy, & please tell her "thank you" for us. We did the same thing with my wife's Ranger, a 1999 4.0 4X4 with the Off Road package. That is a very heavy truck, well over 4000 lbs. surprisingly to some (ours was 4400), so it definitely needs help. Your Ranger is a bit newer with that 5-speed automatic, and once that powertrain is tuned properly it becomes a much more responsive package, nicely improved.

Good luck keeping those back tires on that thing, once that intake arrives you'll see just how well the whole package actually works.

Have fun,
