I have a question, i installed the superchip on my 00 hd 1 month ago, no problems until today my emergency brake light started going on and off now it just stays on. anyone have the same trob after installing their chip or could it be some other problem.. anyone offer any ideas. thank you , timhttp://setiathome.berkeley.edu/

 

Tim, I don't recall of hearing about anyone with this problem. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. I was wondering if you use the emergency brake alot? If so, it could be the spring isn't bringing the pedal back up completely and therefore setting the light. That is all I have.

It's amazing the things you will see people sometimes attribute to the Superchip, Tim, we get everything from people assuming that it affected their alarm system to their stereo to their brakes to tire pressure to alignment to just about anything else you can name on the vehicle, it gets a bit silly sometimes. I'm glad you asked though, as we'd much rather have someone ask to make sure rather than wonder and stress out about it not knowing.

You can rest easy about the Superchip, the Superchip literally cannot have an effect on components like your emergency brake or it's light. If you are still under warranty, have this looked at by your local Ford dealer.
