hey, I am looking into getting a chip and I was wondering if there is any advantage to buying one from Mike over a local person? I am in canada so the exchange kinda hurts so either way it would be about the same price. so I gues what I need to know is can any superchip dealer do the same types of programing or do somee dealers have acess to different programs?

I have a 4.6L 1998 F150 super cab
I am installing dual exhause from the cats back and putting a K&N on it if that makes a difference.

this doesnt really answer your question but i'm from Canada too, my superchip costs me 366$ + 40$ shipping just to let ya know the aproxx cost that u would be paying if u buy from U.S.

 

I don't think that it is as important "who" you buy from as it is there experiance with powertrain programming.
Mike clearly has experiance. There are many people here who would sing praises for Mike. 4.2 V6 F150's to 400hp Lightnings, I have seen many people who are very happy with Mike. That's not saying that there isn't any one else who could do as good a job. I'm sure there is. You just want to make sure that the company you buy from knows about our trucks and the power train programs in them. I don't think it's enough for someone to just sell a Superchip. I want to know that there is someone I can talk to about questions and concerns.
There is a ton of information on this site. If you really think that buying from your local dealer is the way to go, I would suggest trying to learn as much as you can here. Get to know some of the terms and common questions. That way when you talk to the local dealer you might be able to tell how much experiance thy have.
Reguardless of where you get your Superchip, I deffinitley think it's the way to go. Best bang for the buck out there. By that I mean, I think you will get the most gain per dollar spent with a Superchip.
