Superchip and bigger tires?
Hey Mike,
Remeber I told you a while back that I was going to lift my truck,
well now the project is complete.
I also have 35" tires on it now, I don't need to regear right now,
but was told by some folks that its harder on the tranny now that
I have bigger tires on it..
Now if you can recall, I have the custom programming to make my chip shift has hard as possible, with maxed out line pressure.
If I use the chip now with my bigger tires, is this adding more stress on the tranny when it hit's upshift?
Even slightly? Cause if it is, I am going to take the chip out
and keep it for later on, right now the truck has been built
to be an offroad monster..
THanks and have yourself a wonderful day!

Hi Morley,
Congrats on getting the 35's!
The real issue is just not doing full-throttle upshifts or any towing with the speedo that far out of whack because of the shift points not being correct @ WOT. You could actually drive the vehicle and it will operate, though I would not until I had that corrected, you can, just take it easy if you do.
Give us a call if you want to go over this in more detail, that wouldn't be a bad idea.
Have fun!
