Hi 4X4PWR,

Contact the manufacturer directly, and immediately, so they can take care of this for you properly.

You can sometimes have communication problems when uploading via the OBD-II port once in awhile, and it can be due to a low voltage situation or any number of other problems, such as having the wrong device/program inside the device for that vehicle, or using a unit that has already programmed another vehicle, etc.

Just contact the manufacturer directly and they can help you on this, that's the best thing to do.

Thanks Mike!

I actually already contacted the manufacturer right at 8am on monday as soon as they opened. They basically explained to me that they sent me a programmer that was for a 4.2L and not a 5.4L! Whoops! Big mistake there on their part eh? I am actually not too impressed yet.. I still have yet to receive my programmer sometime this week. I will let you know how it turns out. If i dont like it I can always get a SuperChip and then sell the programmer on Ebay.

Hi 4X4PWR,

Ok so by now, you have already been abel to determine that they just sent you the wrong unit by mistake, and that they'll be getting the correct unit out to you. Very good, that's an easy enough fix!

Every company makes mistakes from time to time, including us, as much as it galls me to have to admit that, it's a simple fact of life with us humans.

Sounds like they'll get this taken care of for you pretty qucik, so you should be in good shape.

Good luck with the new unit!
