Hi thebirdman,

The policies of F-150 Online prohibit the discussion of pricing issues here on the message boards to keep them free of what is considered blatant commercial content, so we cannot quote any pricing here, my apologies. Thanks in advance for your understanding on that.

However, the cost to ship the Superchip to Canada is very low, no more than it costs to ship to anywhere in the Continental 48 states here in the US these days. It used to be quite a bit more to ship to Canada, but UPS has a service that is within a coupla bucks of what it costs to ship UPS Ground to anywhere in the 48 states, so it's very cheap.

For the exact amount, please give us ac all or shoot us an email & we'll get you that figure ASAP, ok? Thanks!

Just a heads up on the charges UPS passes on to clear customs. It is very expensive. With exchange, shipping and customs I had to pay $70.00 for 2, $7.00 keychains. You can avoid that however by not taking delivery and telling the driver you will pick up the customs forms at UPS. Go to UPS, pick up the forms and take them to customs yourself. After the forms are done you take them back to UPS and pick up your item. You could check with UPS on what you are going to do in advance, and customs, but I'm pretty sure you will save a few dollars. You have nothing to lose. Just my 2 cents.

Good point Thad, & that doesn't just happen with UPS by the way, but in fact happens with any shipper from the US into Canada, from the US Postal service to FedEx to UPS, they all pass along those customs charges. We know as we have tried every shipper, but there is no getting around it.

We've never seen anything like $70 for a couple of $7 keychains as Thad mentions happened to him, sounds like something else was going on there. If you were charged $70 customs fees, then customs didn't value them at just $7 apiece and charge $70 for customs fees based on a total value of just $14 for a pair of them, there was something else going on. It could have been that the shipment was *insured* for a much higher value, for example. The amount of the fees to pass thru customs is based on the GST on the amount the shipment is insured for, or the value of the transaction itself, whichever is greater. We have to fill out all of the export paperwork (in triplicate, no less!) when we process the shipment here in the US.

I'm sorry I wasn't as clear as I could have been. I paid $70.00 in total. $14.00 for the keychains and the rest for the exchange rate, shipping and customs. I don't know if it was insured. Either way it was way too much. You are probably right about something else going on but I would do the customs clearing myself next time.
