Hi TopGun,
Welcome to F-150 Online!
The only thing you have to do to your vehicle to prepare for using the Superchip is to make sure you have the required premium gasoline in the tank.
If it's an automatic transmission model, then you *might* get a little bit of belt squeal for a a brief second, only during a full-throttle 1-2 upshift, due to the transmission shifting quicker and firmer with the Superchip. If that happens, then yes, changing your serpentine belt is a good idea, and there is only 1 belt to use, the Goodyear Gatorback belt. They have the highest grip on the pulleys, much better than the el-cheapo factory belts, and will instantly eliminate any belt squeal, should your truck ever experience that. We stock them if you want to get one, and they aren't more expensive than the factory belt, just a lot better quality.
In general, the Superchip doesn't put more wear & tear on your vehicle, and you really don't have to do anything to the vehicle to prepare for using the Superchip. That's an *excellent* question to ask however, you're thinking ahead!
