Question Hey Lightningtuner I need your help !!!!!!!!!

My origional 4way chip was set up for a PSP free flow air intake system, PSP 2# pulley and full Bassani exhaust. I have since added a boost bypass kit, Crank case breather, JDM full length headers and their exhaust, w/cats, and a BABOLT sincle blade throttle body. I am concerned whether or not I am hurting something driving it like this? I want to get a reburn and add a 4# pulley at the same time but I need to know when and how etc... Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Hi Panhead,

You will find LightningTuner in the Lightning section of these message boards, not here.

To answer your question, yes, with that breather cap being used to vent the excess crankcase pressure, you will probably need some tuning changes, as that will allow unmetered air to enter the motor under certain conditions and affect the A/F ratios.

Depending on how your previous programs were setup, you might also need some changes for those headers as well.

And, since you intend to increase boost further, putting a 4 PSI pulley on there, that too should be tuned for.

Get in touch with Sal in the Lightning section & he can take care of all of that for you. We tune for all of those modifications and any other kind of modification to the Lightning in the Superchip of course, but since you already have that other chip, you should just let him do that for you.

If you ever need a quote on Lightnig performance parts in the future, feel free to give us a call, we serve over 2000 Lightning owners here at Performance Products.

Give Sal a shout & he'll be happy to take care of you. It's very important to let your tuner know exactly what you're doing to the vehicle, and preferably *before* you do it, so that you can get the proper advice & not make a mistake that might damage the motor, etc.

Good luck!

Thanks Mike! I appreciate your response. I heard that Sal hung out on F-150 online just not exactly where. I will try Sal on the Lightning forum. I have to admit I don't know much about this plug in horsepower. I don't know the difference in chips. Like why one is better than the other. It seems like no-one knows, or cares to give up the reasons. All I can say is that I have been happy with Sal's work. I origionaly bought a Diablo chip that I was very unhappy with. I really do appreciate your help.
Thanks!!!!
