New Truck/Question

Hey Mike

Two days ago I bought a 2002 Lightning, I still have the flip chip from my other truck, can it be reprogramed to work in the Lightning?. Also thinking of adding a 2 or 3 pound pulley to the truck, any special tunning required with the use of these pulleys?,
and how much power do you think I might gain?.

Thanks

Larry

Hi Larry,

Nice to see you again & congratulations on your brand new 2002 Lightning!

Yes, we can reprogram that Superchip, and yes, there are special tuning needs when you raise the boost using any of those pulleys.

There are also other issues to deal with when adding pwoer & increasing boost in these Lightnings; you'll need to vent the additional crankcase pressure from the increased boost and the big gain in power that you're going to get from the combination of the Superchip and raising boost. You'll also need to do a boost bypass kit to prevent the boost dump during full-throttle upshifts, etc. Very simple & cheap to do, we can go over all of that with you.

You're going to be picking up an easy 60+ horsepower and perhaps more with just the Superchip and a 2 PSI increase in boost. That is all very easy & affordable to do, and we can supply all of that and much more.

Give us a call when you get a chance & we can go over all of that with you in proper detail.

You lucky rascal, you must be grinning from ear to ear with that brand new '02 True Blue Lightning, & of course we're delighted for you!
