Question Mike T?

I have a friend with a new 2001 super crew who wants a chip.He is wondering if he should ask for a chip programed for dual side exit exhaust, k&n filter set up, and underdrive pullies?
He said that his 98 Tahoe would eat his Screw even with the filter and pullies.I have a Y2K Offroad 4X4 and regularly blow the 98 and older GM's away with just the filter, add in my chip and even the new body style GM's see tail lights. So I think he may have bought a truck built on Friday or I just got another factory hot rod.I had an 86 Mustang GT that gave the GM crowd fits, that is the car I should have kept!!!!
Thanks for any help regaurding my friends question on the programming of the chip.

Benny

Hi Benny!

With the Superchip, we do not need to make any specific changes to the program for things like K&N air filters, airbox elimination kits, or cat-back exhaust systems, as they do not affect thw tuning enough to require any conpensation. It's generally only when you do things like change the MAF (mass airflow meter), or do obvious major mods like a supercharger, nitrous oxide, ported cylinder heads, camshaft changes, etc. that we need to do what we call custom programming.

If you or your friend would liek to go over this in more detail, please feel free to call or have him give us a shout, we'll be happy to go over everything, talk about all the modifications that have been and will be done, etc.

Yes, it's funny how some vehicles seem to be a bit stronger than others. Sounds like yours is doing very well indeed, good for you, keep those Fords out front where they belong!

Thanks for thinking of us, by the way.
