Flip Chip finally on 93 octane
HI ..........
the waiting is finally over... had about a 1/4 tank of gas (87 octane) in when I installed the flip chip........ and I thouhgt that 1/4 tank was going to last forever........ well today the little "low Fuel" light lit up and I was able to put in the 93 octane and flip the chip.......
not to long there after ... i took it out to a deserted ....straight... and officer free........... state highway....... and let her rip....... now I know for all you serious racer types pegging the 100mph speedo is no big deal ...but........ I was happy... and it did it effortlessly ...and was still pulling nicely when I let off ....
the really good news is that it should continue to slightly improve
for the next several tank fulls......... and when not letting my foot get a bit heavy... it cruises at 55 with barely any pressure on the pedal.....
I guess by now you can tell i am pleased wth the chip
Mike

Oh yea! Now your hooked, bet ya never go back to the other side of the chip!!! Unless gas prices go sky high.
I love my chip and was gona do the flip chip but felt that once I ran on the higher octane, I would never go back.

Hi Mike,
That's a pretty white truck you have there!
Glad to hear you're on the good stuff and having fun. As you mentioned, it will get a bit stronger as you run a couple more tanks thru and get all the 87 octane run out, and the ECU adapts to it's new program, so it will only get better.
Be careful on those high-speed runs!
