Hi 250 Lariat,

There are many threads you can look here at that will give you the basic Superchips versus everyone else info, but briefly.................

It doesn't matter what type of device is used to *deliver* the performance program to the ECU (your powertrain computer), what matters is the *quality* of that program. This is where neither Hypertech nor anyone else can equal what Superchips offers. Hypertech is completely generic in nature, meaning just 1 basic program for all similar model year vehicles (I.E., 1 program for all 1998 4.6 F-150's). What's worse, despite advertising that they work throughout the power band at any rpm, the reality is they only work a very small part of the time to add any power. They only change the engine tuning during open-loop operation (basically, extremely heavy throttle only), where there are no emissions standards to be met. This yields a very poor optimization of the powertrain programming that adds no power any other time, such as closed-loop operation, where you spend 95%+ of your driving time behind the wheel.

The Superchip is much more thorough and works all the time. It is programmed to precisely match the exact software revision of each individual vehicle's ECU, so that each vehicle gets it's own specific performance program that adds power *all* the time, at any throttle position or rpm. These 2 key points make all the difference in the world, only the Superchip helps with towing between them & Hypertech, and only the Superchip gives more power all the time under any situation, it's *always* working.

In fact, no other chipmaker tunes each vehicle as we do, for each individual code, adds power all the time at any throttle position, and is still 50-state emissions certified, only Superchips offers all of that.

And if you happen to have a Powerstroke diesel, we just released the world's first hand held programmer that is still code-specific, but does not require you to need to know your vehicle's computer code to order or install the Superchip tuning, it happens transparently, in the background, automatically. It's based on Superchips' "MAX" technology.

There's really much more to this than I can give you in a post here on these boards, so if you'd like to go over all the details, please feel free to give us a call, our contact info is just below. We reopen from Christmas break on the 26th.

Merry Christmas!
