Mike.....2002 f150 w/4.6 "chip"?
Hi Silverfish,
Welcome to F-150 Online!
Yes, we make Superchips for many of the 2002 FoMoCo vehicles, including these F-150's. Whether we have a Superchip ready for your particular 2002 truck or not will depend on it's computer code. There are hundreds of different factory software revisions (or computer codes, as we refer to them) in these F-150's each model year, so we'll need to know what code your vehicle has to give you a firm answer on that.
It's easy to find your code, simply go to the passenger side of the vehicle, and open the front passenger door. Then look in the front part of the door frame, in the area of the door hinges, and there you should find a sticker that has 3 letters and 1 number on it, that's your computer code.
Just shoot us an email, or for a quick response give us a call, & we can let you know if we have your particular code already done or not.

Hi Silverfish,
OK, then let's have you go to the back of the computer, which is mounted just above the passenger's kick panel, inside the cabin. The ECU looks like a rectangular-shaped aluminum box, and the ECU (your powertrain computer) will be held to it's mounting bracket/plate by a small black plastic pressure clip. Simply pull that clip straight back and it will come off, and then you can look on the back of the ECU where that clip was covering up, and there you should see another code sticker, 3 letters and 1 number.
If you don't find it there, then give me a quick call & I can go over with you how to remove the ECU from the vehicle to read the big sticker that is always on top of every Ford ECU.
Good luck!
