SuperChip is IN!! Life is GOOD!!
Well, It's Done
The superchip has been installed and is working great.
I would like to thank MIKE T. for all his help. He has been great through my whole process from buying it to the SUCESSFUL installation.
For those who have not yet installed their superchip I do have a few added tips that will definately help.
I am a pretty big guy and I have a tough time to get to the 10 mm bolt that holds the wiring harness on the computer. There is a tool which I added to my toolbox which made my life extremely easy when removing that bolt. It's called the Sidewinder Speedwrech. I picked it up at Pep Boys for 19.95. Well worth it. Here's a link to show what it is.

Another tip. Even though the documentation says it. Make sure you TAPE down the superchip after putting it in. I didn't do that the first time I installed it. I realized after I got it installed this morning, I have a railroad track that's not too far from my house and when I tested it I went over the track and I think it knocked the superchip loose. It made me experience a stall after that. After installing it and taping it down, it ran perfect. So Make sure you tape that sucker on there.
Installation is actually pretty easy using Mike T. directions. They outline them very well but make sure you don't rush through it. It pays to read all the way through and do it right the first time.
Well, I'm off to play with the new toy. Talk to everyone later.

Congratulations FloridaFord!
Sorry to here about the problems at first. It seems that there is almost always a simple solution for most of the problems that come up here. Performance Productucts seems to have some of the best customer support around. I had a chance to meet Mike this past summer at the F150 Online rally and I can say he is a great guy and knows his stuff!
I don't know about you but I was a bit intimedated when it came to installing the Superchip. I thought I would mess something up for sure. Everything went OK. I'm still quite happy.
So do you know whats next?
Tom

Hi Henry,
Thanks very much for letting us know everything is OK, I'm very glad to hear it!
Anytime there is a problem like that, it's usually very easy to find & solve. The Superchip has a good grip on the connector, but we do advise taping the Superchip in place as well on any pickup truck, SUV, or anything with 4WD, as they tend to have a rougher ride as compared to a passenger car. The things they do well, like railroad tracks, or offroading, etc. requires us to be prudent & take that preventive step so you don't have a problem over time.
Have fun Henry, & thanks for letting us know all is well!

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks and after reading about the Superchip, decided I HAD to have one. I ordered it and installed in this weekend. Very noticeable difference.
I especially like the firmer shifting. The installation took awhile but thanks to the good instructions (and good pictures from a how-to article on F150world.com), I was able to do it ok. Couldn't reach the 10mm bolt without removing the battery and battery housing.
Thanks to everyone on this site for all their good, helpful information.
