One thing we hear frequently from 4.2 V-6 F-150 owners in particular is how much better it is below 2500 rpm, where the 4.2 V-6 is inherently weak. That area is so critical to overall driveability with as few rpms as we are generally tunring in our everyday driving, that low rpm torque is the real key. The 4.2 V-6 has a deficit in the factory program that causes part of this weakness below 2500 rpm, so we take care of that as well as doing our normal performance tuning.
