5ohhh, I can talk from experience and I will say go with the Superchip from Mike Troyer. Send him an e-mail or give him a shout with your computer code and he can set you up. Your computer is on the driver's side behind the emergency brake bracket. Depending upon if the sticker has been taken off, there should be a small white sticker with the code on it, in you passenger door frame. If it is not there then you can take the plastic kick panel off on the driver's side and you can look up from the bottom to the computer. There will be a 4 digit code there, it will be 3 letters and 1 number. Mine was HUG0 but your computer code will probably be different.
One question for Mike here would be if you had speed density on your truck instead of mass air, will the chip still work ??? That is a question that I don't have an answer for. Never really came across someone in that situation. If you don't know whether you have mass air or not, there will be a silver piece of aluminum (MAF) just to the right hand of the air box and a wire connector going into it. If you have this, then you have mass air and you can have a whole lot of fun doing power modifications to the truck, if you wish. If you don't have this MAF (mass air flow sensor) then you have speed density on the truck. Have fun and let us know what you decide to do.

Hi 5ohhh & IzzyEddy,
Dean gave you some good tips there 5ohhh, as the Superchip is the only one for these vehicles that is made for each individual vehicle's exact computer code, works all the time adding power at any throttle position or rpm, and is still 50-state emissions certified.
You have the classic 5.0 motor of course, and they do respond well to bolt-ons like the Superchip, you'll pick up about 20 horsepower & 31 lbs./ft. of torque.
We make Superchips for both the older speed-density systems as well as the newer mass-air systems, so all we'll need is your computer code and a list of any modifications you may have done to your vehicle. Your 1994 is the newer mass-air system of course, and if you have an automatic transmission, it is computer controlled as well, and the Superchip will make some nice improvements there, too.
If you'd like to go over this in more detail, ask questions, etc., please feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email, our contact info is just below for your convenience. If you like, we'll be happy to go over with you just what you're doing with your vehicle, any modifications you already have, and mods you may be planning, etc., so you get exactly what will work best for your situation.
