Tuner

I am new to this forum so I hope this gets out to you guys. Just picked up my 2016 F150 3.5 Ecoboost. Sending truck in for a Flowmaster Dual exhaust and an AFE cold air intake. Big Question?? What kind of tuner to order. Any advice?

I've heard the same across the board about CAIs on the ecoboost but I'd still like to see numbers to prove it. Also are you saying the flow masters or the tuner are to be avoided?

Just google......there have been certified test labs, etc. who have done the air filter testing showing the in-validity of claimed performance statement improvements.

Programmer is to be avoided if you value your warranty. Exhaust is only good for making more noise, the stock exhaust is straight through.

A programmer with a tune from a reputable source is by far the best power mod you can do. However, as stated above, if you have a power train issue, the warranty will most likely be voided.

Look at the PRX High Boost Tune..

Great Company, Great Tunes, Safe Tunes and Great Customer Service.

I'm up over 45k tuned miles now and truck still runs super strong at almost 60k. Only had to go in the shop one time for warranty with the front seal leak. Dealer never mentioned a word about the tune.

Also give Mike a call at MPT and ask him about the intake, They have numerous dyno's run with the Eb and if my memory serves correctly they are getting improved numbers with a intake.

As far as exhaust, Id stay away from flowmaster on the EB. Best thing i could recommend is Catless Down Pipes, Remove the resonator and replace with a piece of 3" pipe and remove the Flex Pipe for a 3" pipe.

If you dont want to deal with the downpipes then just do the resonator and flex pipe delete and put a nice 4 or 5 inch tip on it.
