PHP Gryphon Quetions

I just installed my Gryphon Programmer on my 2006 f150 5.4 3v XLT and it is terrific! I was wondering how I could get a ford racing start up, splash screen. Also how would I go about getting custom tunes from PHP.

Should be able to hook up you gryphon to your computer and upload any picture from your computer to your programmer..

To get custom tunes from PHP you just have to fill out their paper work on their site. And make sure you get your hex code from your truck.

Does the Ford racing splash screen come preinstalled on the gryphon?

Have you installed their client software on yer pc yet - you need to do that First in order to proceed.

Available here: www.gopowerhungry.com under Support / Downloads

And as mentioned - please read and absorb the manual first - that is Job #1.

You have some work to do. Please engage in order to help us help you.

It's unfortunate that their forum is gone - that would have been where I would have pointed you first.

As a last resort - simply call or email PHP - contact info on their webpage.

good luck

OP, to change the splash screen, you need to download and install Pegasus from the PHP website. Then, with Pegasus running, plug the Gryphon into your PC. Under "Utilities" there is a "Change Splash Screen" option. Click on it.

The splash screen you install MUST be a monochrome bitmap (.GIF) to work. It also has to be 128 by 64 pixels. I have no idea where you might find a "Ford Racing" bitmap, but if you find any such image in any format, there are conversion programs you can use that will transform it into a bitmap.

I've never bothered to change my splash screen, so I cannot be more help than this.

- Jack

Thanks, Sir Jack.

OP - a couple of members have/had bitmap repositories, as mentioned in one or more of those linked threads ( where you'd also find the bitmap 'X by Y' restriction ).

As such - try PM'ing member 'Xperties' to see if he'd be willing to email/post up in his gallery a suitable image you could use. There are also several Ford Oval logo images on the Web you could convert with MS Paint or other freebie tool.

good luck

You can use any number of photo manipulation programs to resize and convert anything you find. I use Irfanview.

Save it anywhere you want, as long as you can find it to upload it to the device. If you are computer illiterate, get a friend who knows what they are doing to help you.
