I'm running a K&N CAI on my 2010 F-150 4.6 3V and just got and EDGE CS. I see in the manual it says not to use a combo of the two, but its a generic manual and have heard some say that with this particular model its fine to run the programmer and CAI...any input/feedback is appreciated?

 

you've heard wrong....

custom tunes via a sct or diablo programmer will correct for the Cai....

better read some more...imo

 

The canned tunes in an Edge CS are not calibrated for your CAI. I'd return the intake to stock if you're going to use the CS. Better yet, get custom tuning for your truck.

You could also investigate the Diablo line of programmers. It's my understanding that they have adjusted their canned tunes to work happily with CAIs.

Thanks...i just sold the Edge and ordered a Diablo. The guys at Edge claim that with the latest update it will account for the CAI. But Diablo seems to be more on their game.

Diablo has canned tunes for various CAI's, and I hear they are decent.
