Power programmer for 05 f350 dump

Hey guys, I've noticed lately that my 05 f350 dump just isn't hacking it in the power department, especially pulling a trailer. It struggles to get up hills and on ramps as well as trying to pick up speed. Any opinions on the best programmer with a towing tune to get this thing hauling better? Ive had an edge evo on my f150 5.4 years ago but im not too sure if thats good for a work truck.

Sorry, 5.4 gasser. The exhaust manifold gaskets went recently but that's about it. The trailer is now heavier as it has much more equipment in it.

honestly i think gears would help you tremendously. but most guys on here go custom tunes from mike at 5 star. im sure others will chime in on this though.

I hear ya man! I have two other f350s, an 06 an an 07 both power strokes and I absolutely love them. Never an issue when it comes to power and towing. I just really need to get some ***** in this 5.4!

I've considered Gears, but I literally know nothing about truck Gears. I'm a mustang man and that's usually where the performance mods go. Any recommendations?

What is the factory gear ratio? Post the axle code that's on the door jamb sticker.

The axle code is 4N. Not too sure what that means

That means 4.10 with limited slip rear.

Any ideas on better gearing options for the truck?

I'm not familiar with the options available for the Super Duty axles, but I'd see about maybe 4.88's.

for a stricly tow/haul rig, id go 4.88s at least. go onto a few websites that sell gears and see what options are available
