Ok, I have researched and asked numerous questions and I find myself lost in the conundrum of information overload!!!
Here's the skinny, I have an 04 FX4 5.4, what is the best tuner for this truck? Edge Evolution, SCT, Diablo, Gryphon?????

if you want the least amount of problems and good support go with sct or diablo products.....imo....and if you need a heads up display gauge go with an ultragauge if you buy a handheld programmer...

I'd stay away from edge garbage....

 

I have an xcal 3 with tunes from 5 star and vmp. I am very happy with it

 

Are you going to have a tuner tune the truck? If so the best one is the unit he recommends using. Now as for the best for you to use, you will get a ton of different answers. Alot of the guys here use the Gryphon and the Lightning and HD guys use DiabloSport or SCT. Honestly you can't go wrong with either of those units. I personally used DiabloSport on my old Lightning, my FX4 I have yet to buy a programer for it.

 

Thanks for the info and you are right about all the suggestions on different programmers. The Edge Evolution keeps popping up for Fords but I have noticed it would seem use Gryphon, Diablo, and SCT on here with a slight edge(no pund intended) for the Edge product.
Where would you recommend purchasing for the best deal?

 

Edge/Gryphon is not in favor here like they used to be - the current recommendations are SCT/Diablo. I feel bad for the great folks at PHP - they have to deal with all kinds of Edge screwups.

 

What kind of edge screw ups have their been? I haven't heard of any recently, but just got back to the forum after a short few months away.
