I have recieved an edge evolution from a friends 04 F150. He thinks he restored it to factory settings. If I plug it into my 08 F150 will it hurt my truck or just not work if it hasn't been restored.

 

It won't hurt your truck. If your friend did not return his truck to stock (Level 0), it simply will not work. on yours. If this is the case, Edge can return it to the stock setting for a fee - which I THINK is $75.

If the Evolution recognizes your truck, try the Level 2 (tow) tune. It is a very good all around tune that will give you more power, improve the transmission shifting and may give you better gas mileage.
