Question for Mike T. Re: Diablo chip
Hi Mike and to all reading this post, all comments are welcome.
So now you are carrying the Diablo chip. Understandable. Read your recent reply on superchip/diablo chip.
Dont recall seeing some specifics on the diablo chip, if its been posted before, then guess its old stuff, but new to me.
Question: Diablo chip....
Can it be reflashed/new code/reused
Is it available with the 87/92 oct. programs
Can it be setup for heavy mods....superchargers etc
I did see the install differences.
Does it have the same programming capabilities as the Superchip.
Got my curiosity up. Have a good one. OT

Hi Old Timer,
Sure, you can get all the same basic things like custom programs for a blower like you mentioned, etc., the only thing you can't get from Diablo right at this moment is a dual-program switchable chip, but they're working on that as well currently, so in time, they'll have that available too. I don't have a firm timeframe on that, probably a few months.
With regards to how their hardware works, that's all very, very similar, and it is a flash style unit as well, so it can be updated until time ends, just as the Superchip can.
If you'd like to go over any details, etc., just give us a shout!

Too bad nobody has a chip that can utilize engine info to automatically determine what octane gas you're running.
In other words, when the engine starts knocking, it knows it's running lower octane fuel and it adjusts the program automatically. It could even be designed to optimize for whatever blend of octanes you have in the tank.
The next generation chip, perhaps?
