Hi everyone i have 2011 f-150 lariat with the 5.0l, i have added few items to it such as afe cai, and arh exaust also have the sct runing on the 93 octane all out performance race mode. My question is this, can i continue running in the city with this tune or i am risking to damege the tranny or something else since i really dont go over 55 mph. Thank you all..Happy New Year!!!!

 

While I'd doubt you'll damage anything, it would make for an absurdly harsh ride for no reason. Just have it remapped for street.

 

ok ryanwagner78 thanks for the heads up...i actually did try on the street tune and the shifts were even firmer and believe me the truck under the tune runs great altough is the shifting into second that is firm just as much as street....I chosed one just for more responsive immediate power..just worried for the firm shift but i hear it is what programers are all about? You know.

 

It's a custom tune, ask them to soften the shift points That is the benefit of "custom"

 

messing with shift "firmness" via the tune is a **** poor way to do business

 

Care to elaborate? or just want to leave it at "**** poor" with no suggestions?

 

messing with the pumps voltage, only stresses the pump and leads to premature failure causing total transmission failure
