Superchips

In 1999, I bought a used 1997 F150 (5.4L Reg cab) with 24K mileage. When the warranty expired at 36K (1999), I bought a superchip (DJJ3) from Mike Troyer and put it in. Last week, the chip finally died. My truck has 292K miles, and the chip was in for 13 years. I put the chip in for performance. It ran exceptionally well, but the premium gas was expensive over the years. Not so concerned about performance now (I have a 2011 Camaro SS). The truck still runs really good without the chip, but I will kinda miss it. Anyone else had or heard of this kind of longevity on a chip?

Mike, if you're still out there, how's it going?

Biff

Glad to hear you had so many good years with the ole chip. Have not seen Troyer on here in a long time unfortunately. Not sure about longevity of the chips but there are many people on here and other f150 sites that have 100000+ miles of trouble free tuning.
