Thumbs up Three year (wordy) report

It's been about three years now that the Superchip has been installed and things are still going great. The wife can still notice when the chip isn't installed!

The story:
The Expy had been running pretty rough the last couple of weeks, but since I never drive it, I didn't know. My wife was afraid to tell me about the problems because she doesn't "want" her truck to have any problems- kind of an ignore it and it'll go away attitude. Obviously, this doesn't work. Anyway, I pulled the Superchip thinking maybe it was having a connection problem. Two day later, the Expy is still having an intermittant stumble/miss and actually died on her in traffic! Seemed like it was starving for fuel so I changed the fuel filter and sent her off to break down in traffic again. For the past 4 days, it's been running great with the exception of her complaining about performance. Yesterday I installed the chip again and she's as happy as can be.

Just thought I'd report my chip experience and how it can make a difference that even my wife notices without having any bad "long-term" effects. One of these days, I've got to get one for the V10!

Hi nomo,

Great to "see" you again, as always!

That's funny, your wife sounds a lot like mine, she can always tell if her Superchip isn't in, and of course, given who we are and what we do, that doesn't happen often, usually only for a very short time after picking up a new vehicle. Usually we put them in before leaving the dealer's lot, but this time we wanted to document every step of the way, from acceleration times to mileage, etc., so she's had to wait a couple of weeks to get some stock data, and she hates driving it stock.

Wow, so you got a big V-10, eh? I may have known that before, but just forgot, at any rate, congratulations on the V-10, that's a serious truck.

Thanks for your post, always good to see you & keep in touch!
