Changing from 87 to 93

Hello all, I apologize if this has been answered somewhere on here already. I want to try my 93 custom performance tune, but I have one concern. I'm currently running 87 custom performance. Are there any dangers when fueling up with 93 and changing my tune to 93 with some leftover 87 lingering around in the fuel system?

I thought I would ask before possibly damaging my truck.

Thanks.

Hey bud!

You need to run the tank down as close to empty as possible. Myself, I'd run it as close to empty as possible, refuel with a full tank of 93, leave the tune on 87 for that tank, then change to the 93 tune upon filling up on 93 the second time. Won't hurt running 87 tune on higher octane, but I definitely wouldn't advise running the 93 tune on anything lower than as close to 93 octane gas as possible.

Yer gonna love it!

Dewser! I should have expected a response from you haha!!

Thanks so much I will do this starting tomorrow as the truck is currently sippin on fumes! Running 93 will definitely burn a deeper hole in my pocket but I'm guessing it'll be worth the power gains!

Yep! Once I realized the full benefits of a good 93 custom tune, I didn't mind the extra scratch fer 'the good stuff' at all!
