Programmer was stolen

A question. Some useless sack of crap rummaged through my truck over the weekend & left the ipod, head unit, etc but took my Oakleys & my Superchips 1715 programmer. I have the 87 tune running but of course the programmer is gone now. How screwed am I now? Can I pick up another tuner (hopefully a better one) & write over top of the 87 tune that the 1715 loaded? or do I have to get the ECM re-written by Ford & start from scratch?

Thanks for any guidance here...

Best bet is to have the dealer re-flash to stock, then you can start over. You may have a new hex code when they re-flash make sure to ask.

PEOPLE SUCK MAN! Sorry to hear about the break in. Its happened to me twice, once in my own drive way. Wish I would have been awake to make an example out of the clown. I have a buffet of lead I would love them to taste, 9mm, 45, 300, 30.06, 12ga, .223, 38spcl, shoot they could have the .177 appetizer courtesy of my kid. Get a re-flash and then send your hex code to the tuner.
Good luck man!

Your best bet is to do what sam suggest by starting over with a dealer reflash....

And to think, the tuner is worthless to whomever took it. It's VIN locked! I'd probably get in touch with Superchips about it. If someone decides to pay to get it unlocked you may have a slim chance of getting it back as long as it was registered.

Other than that, your only option is a reflash as stated above.

Good Luck!

Yea if you contact superchips, they could possibly help you out if the person that stole it tries to get it unlocked. Apparently the thief is quite the dunce.
