Max RPM

Do you know what the maximum recommended RPM is for the torque converter? In the previous generations with the 4 speed you weren't supposed to take it over 5400 RPM as this would cause the torque converter would balloon. Looks like you are getting up around 6500.

You'll notice you have a redline on your tach starting at 6000 RPM. I would not go above that. What was the max RPM cutout before you "tuned" your truck?

Call one of the tuner guys about the redline and torque converter, they'll know. I thought I'd read the 5.0 was good to at least 7500?

Make sure it's a "reputable", tuner guy! One of our sponsors would be who I'd call (PHP, Troyer, Diablo).

Truck was already shifting into redline when i first bought it from factory. 5startuned tunes go into redline as well. He has videos on his website. These motors are built for high rpm's

Yup, no doubt the motor is good for the RPMs, just wondering about the torque converter. IS the check engine light on as a result of the tune or something else? Just wondering myself. I find myself on the fence about purchasing another vehicle and I cant decide between the ecoboost or the 5.0. Etiher one will be tuned. My current 5.4 is tuned and I will NEVER go back to factory.

Check engine light is on because of the ghost cam. Yeah I will never go back to factory after driving a tuned truck.

I just noticed you had the JL audio 10s in your truck. How do you like them and what kind of box are you using? I put a single 10 in my wife's protege she had many years ago. It was being driven by an Alpine amp at the time and it was fantastic.

Oooooo...sounds mysterious...and a little spooky! With a name like 'ghost cams' it's gotta be good! Still, I can't believe you'd want your CEL to be on all the time, right? What happens if something non-specterish happened (something went wrong)? You'd never know.
