Edge Evolution Problem-2006 F150
Guys I am having a problem with my Edge Evo. I got it second hand and installed it per the instructions and everything seemed to work fine. I with it to atlanta and back (5hrs one way) no issues and parked the truck for about a day cause I took the bike to work yesterday. When I fired up the truck this morning the edge came on but the display wasn't showing everything clearly. When the evolution splash screen came up only the top half of the letters where showing and then the display hud was pretty jumbled. I turned off the key and opened the door to shut off the radio and the edge wouldn't turn off.
I didn't know what to do so I unplugged it from the diagnostic port and plugged it back in. Now the evo comes on with the key but the entire screen is blacked out and when you shut off the car you have to unplug it from the diagnostic port to get the led backlight to shut down. WHat the heck? This thing has literally been installed 4 days at this point.

Contact edge....but get your battery checked first....
edge products do funky things when the vehicles battery is not up to par and starting to crap out....
Also hot temperatures outside can be magnified in the cab and cause display issues

AND, make sure when you plug it in that the ignition key is ON (engine off) or the unit will not boot properly.
The black/jumbled screen could have been due to high temperatures. That condition corrects itself once things cool down.
