5.4 edge evo set ups

hello im not sure if there is a thread out there already on this or not, but i was wondering what some people have for set up under level 1 87 octane on their edge evo tuners just curious. wanting to know what works great for other people and gets good mpg.

Be advised that better mpg is not assured - only yer discipline of yer right foot controls that.

I kinda wondered that meseff. OP, you do know that there are better options than the Edge that even come in the same purty lookin' pod and box as the Edge, right?

Just the Gryphon with the canned tunes is substantially better than the Edge with canned tunes. Plus with the Gryphon, you get the option to upgrade to custom tunes as you add more performance mods to your truck. Purty kewl, no?

If you haven't purchased a programmer yet, it's absolutely worth it to go with the Gryphon. Good news is if you have already purchased an Edge, PHP can upgrade it to the Gryphon firmware fer a reasonable fee.

if you want the "guages" PHP Gryphon or SCT LiveWire is the way to go

yea i purchased a evo a while back without really knowing about this gryphon deal. im going to look into it now. so your saying i can send my evo in and they will put there software on to it and the custom tunes?

this sounds amazing.

You don't have to send it in anymore. The Gryphon firmware and custom tunes can be downloaded using their proprietary software program (Pegasus).

by downloading pegasus ill be able to get the custom tunes for 87 and 93 done by Bill?

Im going to be upgrading my edge evo to the gryphon viva pegasus i was just wondering if there any setting i should it back to before i pull it from the truck?

Always return the truck to stock programming before disconnecting the programmer from the OBDII port.

Did you get a manual with the Edge?

i updated my edge to the gryphon today and i have the normal canned tunes but i was wondering how i can get custom tunes done for my truck and my area?
