Yes, Diablosport chip on 5.4. So far I am unimpressed. The folks here are telling me to give it 500 miles. I am going to try a superchip also just to see if there really is a noticeable difference.

Just put my Superchip-flip chip in last weekend. Excellent difference in the shifting and big improvement in low end torque. I was sitting on a intersection on Hempstead Hwy waiting to get on and finally after quit a while saw a opening. I got on it and had to get off of it to put the tires back on the ground. Very sweet. I would reccommend talking to Mike!

Thumbs up

Put my Superchip in about 3 weeks ago after talking to Mike and ordering. Got it in a couple days. I agree with LocoScrew, when I step on it, you definitely feel the power, and the shifting is smooth as silk.

Biggest difference I notice now is the low end torque pulling my 25 foot TT. Before when ascending a long 6-1/2% or 7% grade I was dropping down to the 25 mph range. Now I can maintain 40-45 mph. Shorter grades it will maintain 50-60 mph.

You could say I'm a happy camper.

SBR,
I would like to help if I knew where you were going. This is the chip forum and there is tons of info in these threads if you look. If you could be more specific about the questions or interest you have it would help. Overall this forum in general seems very satisfied with Superchip, Diablo is making a move in this market which I think is a good thing. Everyone will learn from the info our brothern give us. However it is very hard to answer a question that is fague.

Sorry, I was responding to ken800. He wasn't happy with the Diablo and may be trying the Superchip on the Supercrew. I'm interested if he finds any difference. Both you and Tray seem to be happy with the Superchip and I appreciate your inputs.

Thanks

Thumbs up you betcha

I have chipped 2 supercrews, my prior 2001 harley edition and my current lariat 4x4. The chip from Superchips really brings the 5.4L engine to life. That with a good FIPK makes a great deal of improvement in performance on the motor. It is definately a noticeable improvement. I got the flip chip, however it has never gone out of high test (93 octane) mode, so you may be able to save some bucks and go with a singel mode chip. Hope this helps, take care,

Hello BigRedScrew...

Have had my SCrew chipped for a while with the regular Superchip. Recently put in Flip chip.
With both you will notice definite positive results.
I would serioulsy recommend this to be one of the first of your Mods, next to Air kit, then cat-backs...
You will NOT regret it in the least.
Talk to MIKE T. and he will get you hooked up.

Go go go...call him what are you waiting for.

Hi ScrewBigRed,

Actually, the Superchip is even more popular with the Super Crew F-150 owners, due to the rather heavy weight of most of them, their owners are usually looking for some added performance.

Looks like there is some good feedback here from those owners, so that should help to answer some questions. If you'd like to go over any details, etc., pleae feel free to give us a shout.

Best of luck with your truck,

I chipped a 2001 supercrew with a Super Chip. It performed as advertised very solid shifts, more power pulling with my travel trailer. Easy to install just make sure you follow instructions to the T. I ran it for about 3 months then traded truck for an F250 diesel to pull a bigger camper. I would sell the Superchip for $125.00 it was for a 5.4, will find the code numbers if interested. I seen 1/2 mpg better fuel mileage but I do drive kind of hard.
Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony,

Just a quick thought, if you are selling your Superchip, make sure to list it here on F-150 Online in the Classifieds section, which the Webmaster has set up specifically for that purpose, and it's completely free of charge. Many people are always looking for bargains, so you should get good results there.

Just FYI, & good luck!

ScrewBigRed,

I too chipped my Screw with a superchip and was totaly satisfied. A definate imrovement in power and firmer shifting. Noticed a large improvement when pulling my 21' boat. Good luck in your decision....
