Edge Evo

OK so alot of us on here have an Edge Evo for our 4.6/5.4 F-150's. There may be people on here(including myself)that are new to the tuner world and may not know why is it better to change shift points, standard shifting, torque locker converter and so on and what it has to do with the Edge and our trucks in extracting the most gains from our Evo's.

Alot of us have pretty much the same setups (example,35's,leveling kit, and duel exhaust)Maybe alot of this stuff plays into effect with our Evo and some of us may not know to account for all this.

So in hopes of creating this thread are to get the more experience guys with Edge Evo's to share there knowledge and what they have found works for them and there set ups and share it with us.

So please share your set ups,(tires, leveling kit, lifts kits, gots mod/CAI,dual exhaust and so on) And let us other member who might have the same set up as you, know what settings you are running with your Evo.

My truck 2004 F150 Screw 5.4L 2wd
mods are: 35x12.5x17, 2.5 leveling kit, 1" rear block, Duel exhaust
I'm wanting to know what would be the best settings for level 3 towing as well as level 4 extreme

Thanks well in advance

Stay cool Samoan, though MGDfan's delivery is a bit strong and condecending, however, what he offers in assistance is correct.

*gasp*

Since when?

A condescending bastige? He can be, I reckon. A correct bastige? You betcha!

Ya just gotta know how to take him sometimes and not take him (or yourself) too seriously when reading his advice.

Not taking him too seriously is a bit difficult for some folks when they are serious about asking for assistance. Not everyone enjoys being put down in public.

Hmmmm .... okay, allow me to rephrase.

Good Evening, Mr. Sam Owen!

I do believe, my good man that the information you seek is already here within F150Online's vast repository of archival knowledge.

If I may be so bold, may I ask exactly which device you have? I am easily confuded, being an old fossil ... ahhhh ... I sense it is a CS/CTS variant, is this correct?

A good example would be this thread for several tips that share some commonality across the older Evo and CS/CTS variants:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...?highlight=evo

Additionally, there are many threads offering more specificity w.r.tt the CS/CTS. I humbly offer Examples as follows:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...t=cts+settings

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...t=cts+settings

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...t=cts+settings

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...t=cts+settings

And so on and so forth. ...

Further, if I may, it would be hugely beneficial if you could assume the role of CS/CTS Librarian and collect representative information already published, and collate it within this thread for the other, newer users not as experienced as you surely are, kind sir.

I would normally assume this honour, but given I do not own a canned Edge product, I fear I would unintentionally mislead folks, given my very rudimentary, basic understanding where these complicated devices are concerned.

That would be horrifying and would adversely affect my blood pressure, and I would almost certainly expire.

Thank-you ever so much for allowing me to contribute in some small, meager fashion to this worthy, but daunting, endeavour you have undertaken.

I remain at your service.

Mahalo.

MGD

*EDIT*

Ahhh .. you see what advanced age does to a man? I was remiss in addressing your specific mods. I will rectify that oversight forthwith - my sincere apologies!

35's are something that must be corrected for to ensure speedo/odo/shift point accuracy - so this is not something that would be considered an optional 'like-to-have' setting. These is nothing else in the canned tuning settings that are affected by this mod other than what was just stated.

Level/block. This mod has no impact on the tuning, nor is there a setting that relates to this.

Dual exhaust. Again - not a perf mod - just a sound preference mod. No effect on, nor a setting for, the tuning.
